January 21, 2025 – 32nd anniversary (1993) of the creation of the Canadian Victoria Cross awarded for the most conspicuous bravery, a daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self-sacrifice, or extreme devotion to duty, in the presence of the enemy. This decoration perpetuates the lineage of the British Victoria Cross that was created by Queen Victoria in 1856.
January 22, 2025 – 173rd anniversary of the creation of the Military Medal by Louis-Napoléon Bonaparte, future Napoléon II.
