New cooperation to honour the military relationship between France and Canada
Signing of a declaration between the Société Nationale d’Entraide de la Médaille Militaire (SNEMM)
and the Order of Military Merit (ORMM)
On April 28, 2022, Christophe Raisonnier (Director of the French Société Nationale d’Entraide de la Médaille Militaire) and Lieutenant-General Frances Allen (Vice-Chief of the Defence Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces) signed a declaration of intent for cooperation. The primary objective of this agreement is to strengthen cooperation in military awards in order to honour the duty of remembrance and recognize the military commitment of French and Canadian soldiers.

OUR VISION
The intention of the Collaboration between the SNEMM and the ORMM is to bring together the recipients of the Military Medal (France) and the Order of Military Merit (Canada) within the framework of common values. This collaboration includes commemorative, sporting and social activities which will help perpetuate the friendship between the recipients of these two distinctions.
